How It All Began

For individuals caring for an elderly person, during their final days, priorities can change dramatically. The enigma of life without our loved one doesn't fully set in until they are gone. Thus, An Elderly Wish Foundation was created in memory of Elizabeth Baudino McWhorter, and in honor of all the wonderful elderly who pave the way for each of us.

Why the Elderly

The elderly do still have dreams, but they don't feel worthy because of their age. They do have minds with memories, hearts with love. The spark that comes with fun and laughter still shines in eyes - just as brightly as those of little children.

- Rebecca Crowder, Founder

Through Their Eyes

Looking through eyes of a caregiver of the elderly, much can be revealed. Caring for an elderly parent, family members, friend or loved one can be one of life's most consuming tasks. The rewards are few and the journey can be long. Tranquility and rewarding days are what we really want for the elderly, yet they often suffer from depression; and live in self imposed isolation because of debilitating bodies and minds. A wish can bring them joy.
